When I installed my PP in Vail AZ, Tucson Electric was providing 249 volts. I was getting 249 out of the PP. Felder would not install the saw with that. I had to add a buck box to lower the voltage. Phase Perfect told me they output whatever you input. The allowed upper limit for the power companies 251, but with a spike it could damage the Kappa and not be under warranty.?

The only downside?I've ever read about the PP is 208v to ground which was dismissed as not a problem.?
That's not a downside.? It's completely irrelevant to your machine.
The very simple fact is that you never operate 3P devices (motors) from line to ground.??The power is from line-to-line.? The line-to-line voltage is 240 volts.
It's that simple, despite the repeated misinformation on FOG.
