Graph paper and scaled cut outs works beautifully and is what I have done in the past.? In this case I wanted a project to help figure out Fusion360 so granted I went a bit overboard, but it was fun.? When I came into the house with little 1/32 scaled boards of lumber and sheet goods that I was ¡°processing¡± through the machines my wife threw up her hands. haha

Really good point thinking through the whole process.? I think I am still stuck just trying to get all the big tools? into the shop with adequate space to move materials from one tool to another.? Your U shape flow sounds pretty well thought out!
