On the Lemon Pledge that was noticed, that is NOT something I use for anything having to do with woodworking. ?On the idea of using a Festool vac with a 3 phase chop saw, I was given a way to make it work earlier in this thread. ?However, it is no longer relevant to me, as I want the increased suction of my central system, so I will not be using a Festool vac. ?On the idea of the 30 second delay as opposed to a separate on-off DC switch, a great idea I will consider if I am unhappy with the separation switch as it would be very easy to go from one to the other using a Hawkeye sensor from Ecogate. ?On the thought of 6 inch pipe... well... I already ran the 5 inch Nordfab and got the 5 inch blast gate and the other Nordfab and so I will see how that works. ?The is a different saw, and I was told by an Omga user that the large 80mm port to a good DC works pretty well alone and the secondary collection I am hoping will be a bonus and be adequate.
As for the bevel, no it is not a compound miter. ?Omga does make that model but certain disadvantages and not a popular model. ?I understand that compared to my Kapex there is less cross cut capacity, but looking back, most of my cuts have been 90 degree with boards not so wide - drawers, rails, stiles, legs, and wine racking as my next project, and for those cuts, this should make very clean cuts very quickly. ?For the wider boards or compound, I have the table saw. ?Some say they do not need a fixed position miter saw at all in the shop. ?Scott Slater has a lot of equipment, but does not have a miter saw in his shop. ?I like the idea of the clamps being part of the machine. ?Personal preference.
