I am not trying to hurt any ones feelings
Haha... If anyone gets their feelings hurt over shutters, they are way too sensitive! ?Anyhow, an example of where that may be nice. ?I have a pool table in a room that has 2 windows overlooking the driveway followed by the side of a neighbor's house (not a great view so no problem if that view is most often blocked). ?The morning light shines in and that is not good for the pool table. ?So, having the light blocked is very helpful. ?That can be helpful also when in a room with a television and you do not want glare. ?With the use of a tilt rod (or the newer variation) you go from a lot of light to very little (never complete block) in 1 second. ?With the shutters, if they are white, same as trim, you do not have to worry about color matching as you do with drapes. ?Drapes can give the home a dated look (depending on the style) whereas shutters seem to never go out of style. ?If you want a better view, you can always swing open the shutters (but then that can get in the way).
Very interesting how expensive it can be to buy shutters compared to the cost of materials to make them.?
All personal preference. ?
