As Michael said there is a lot of info here on this but I would only add the that I started with their saw shaper and then I added a jointer planer the jointer planer combo is a lot more palatable to me as a hobbyist then a saw shaper. Saw is such a common tool that you want it available. Shaper setup is usually time consuming. Most cutter I have cannot be lowered so have to be removed. If you have a second saw then it might work better. Of course if you do not have space it is a moot point.

would you buy it again? Watched the hot tub build video the other day thought it was really versatile with being able to use a power feeder on the shaper, saw and jointer. Instead of needing 3 or not even having the capability of it.?
I know sometimes Change over time could be a pain and could be a dislike but as a hobbiest it¡¯s a give and take situation.?
