If you can¡¯t use the tire range of the slider you may not be able to access the blade as the slider has to be pushed fully to one end for access.

First time poster, jumping in because I am in a similar situation.

I've seen lots of advice to get the biggest slider you can fit.? That makes sense to me.? My question is exactly what you guys mean by "fit."

It's a lot easier to find 10.5' sliders, but my workshop just can't accommodate that much sliding table travel.? I can do 8.5' with a bit to spare, but 10.5' is right out.? I can fit the machine itself, but I wouldn't be able to use the full travel.? I'd have to adjust the table stops, or rig something up if the stops aren't adjustable, to keep from slamming the table into the walls all the time.
?
With that said, would you still recommend trying to find a 10.5' slider, or should I settle for less?
