I¡¯ve had many Wixey read outs and quite sure the batteries last at least a year or two. Certainly nothing like the cheap digital calipers that require batteries every 2 months...

By this you mean that it does not work with a mag strip that one could install in OEM fence, correct? Because, it does work with a mag strip. Just curious, wanted to make sure I sm not missing something.

I remember reading issues with battery draining often. Not sure if that was wixey or accurate?
