Solomon is the only man recorded in HOLY?SCRIPTURE?that OMNIPOTENTGOD?gave the opportunity to choose or ask for his heart's?desires.?The HOLY?ONE?OF?ISRAEL?knew Solomon's heart, that he would want wisdom, knowledge and understanding so he could reign over the Israelite peoples and influence them in a GOD-fearing supremacy.?
The LOVING?CREATOR?was pleased that Solomon had asked for this.?And ALMIGHTY?GOD?said to him,?"Because you asked for this?¡ª?you did not ask for long life, you did not ask for riches, you did not ask for the life of your enemies, but you asked for discernment in dispensing justice?¡ª?I now do as you have spoken.?I grant you a wise and discerning mind; there has never been anyone like you before, nor will anyone like you arise.?And I also grant you what you did not ask for?¡ªboth riches and glory all your life?¡ª?the like of which no king has ever had.?And I will further grant you long life, IF you will walk in Myways and observe MY?Laws and commandments, as did your father David."?[1?Kings?(Melakhim?Alef)?3.?10?-?14?Tanakh,?Nevi'im]?
Many people quote Scripture?to test the HOLY?GOD?OF?HEAVEN, and they are usually asking for their own self?embellishment?(exaggeration,?elaboration,amplification).?However, when we allow the LORD OF?GLORY?to prepare our heart, HE?hears our prayer and will gladly give us HIS?HOLY?SPIRIT.?"Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but desire realized is a Tree?of?Life."[Proverbs?(Mishle)?13.?12?Tanakh,?Kethuvim]?When the desire of our heart is HIScommand, our life is marvelous and indescribably joyous, even in adversities.?We are confident that all comes from HIS?precious hands, and HE?is always with us.?
