Some trivia:
I talked to the guy at Ford who consulted with Maisto on the model.
This was probably 15 years ago and I can't
remember his name just now.? It is in my notes
somewhere, but they are a horrible mess.
He claimed that the Maisto model was done based
on the Ford drawings and documentation of a
Talladega.? He also told me that this
documentation was later lost in a dispute with a vendor.? <sigh>
He had also worked on the Talladega in 1969 and
told me that the workers at Ford hated the car
because any one with the skills was called in on
a Saturday to relead the fenders that had not
been done correctly by the vendor. (H&M?)
