My understanding is that the different styles started in about August of 1968. However they were different then those used slightly later. ?The early (not 68 1/2) carried a part number of C8OE-17K004-A and the later one carried a part number of C8OE-17K004-B. ?The Type -A has a hard bend between the two lift holes, the type B is a smoother transition. ?Further the Type-A carries a FoMoCo logo and the Type-B carries a FORD logo.? The mirror image mounts (68 1/2) have been found on vehicles into the 69 model year on both Torino's and Cyclones. ?But the CJ is NOT my specialty, so what I know may be suspect. -- ============================================================ I am Linc.....
