Re: Engine lift hooks

Hey Marty, you out there? ?Can you chime in on the earliest date that the later type was used?

My understanding is that the different styles started in about August of 1968. However they
were different then those used slightly later. ?The early (not 68 1/2) carried a part number of
C8OE-17K004-A and the later one carried a part number of C8OE-17K004-B. ?The Type -A
has a hard bend between the two lift holes, the type B is a smoother transition. ?Further the
Type-A carries a FoMoCo logo and the Type-B carries a FORD logo.?

The mirror image mounts (68 1/2) have been found on vehicles into the 69 model year on
both Torino's and Cyclones. ?But the CJ is NOT my specialty, so what I know may be suspect.

Hi Chuck....do you have the scj in your car. I saw the second lift hook being larger than the other. eBay had two sets available. The ones I ordered said 68 1/2 cj the other said 68-70 scj. Dennis
