Re: 428 Engine Brackets

I should be able to figure out a way to locate the holes dimensionally.? I am not familiar with the lift brackets for the 428CJ.? My guess is it would be the bracket the fits between the motor mount and subframe, but a paper template is normally flat and the part I am envisioning is not flat.?

The only time I worked in that area was many years ago when I replaced the starter electrical wire.? I may recognize what the lift bracket is when I get the car up on my lift, but it would be nice if you could give me some more details about it.

Two thing on that, ?it 'could' be done on the engine, but the area around the bolt holes will
be difficult with bolts through them. ?The second thing is that I am not in a hurry, and there
is still plenty of time.

Linc,

Is that possible to do with the engine in the vehicle?? Since I have not ever pulled the engine, I don't even know what they look like.? I can do it if it can be done in the vehicle.? It might be a while before I can do it though.? My lift is inaccessible due to some construction I am having done.??

Hello,

I am looking to see if someone is willing to make a paper template of the 428
CJ Engine lift brackets. ?I am going to CNC plasma cut them since I am too cheap
to buy real or reproduction ones. ?:)
