Interview recording - Keeping myself visible?

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Hello!
I am in the process of doing short interviews via zoom with grantees for a Foundation board meeting final evaluation (A positive, I don¡¯t think they would have been so open to these interviews pre-Covid). Anyway, I did the first today, I can turn off my video and just have the interviewees appear for the recording, but then they can¡¯t see me, read my facial expressions and encouragement, all of which really helps during interviews. Is there anyway of keeping myself visible, but not recorded???

Thanks!!

What if you "pin" their video (right click option for PC users), and then opt to hide your video from yourself/your gallery (right-click option for PC users)?

I??think this would work, but not 100% sure about whether it would record in that format or not. Happy to test it with you!

Cheers,
Sarah

In the Recording Settings, you should be able to select which components you'd like to record or not. Do some tests to see how it will show up in production. I do this so that It doesn't record my face in training sessions but participants can see me live.?

Thanks Sarah and Rebecca!
Yes, strangely it¡¯s only recording the person speaking, which works well and allows me to keep my video on, however I was hoping to have my interviewees recorded to together as they are having a conversation (gallery view) but still need to figure that out...

Speaker view is pretty good at just recording one person at a time.? Muting yourself will make sure that an "Ahem" or "yea" doesn't shift focus to the interviewer.??

Also "hide self view" helps if you occasionally switch away from speaker view.

You have more control if you're recording to your computer (not the cloud).

John

You can pin them.
