In a German magazine I saw a clear plastic foil that can be applied to the hood and perhaps the top of the rear bumper (where mine is scratched). I have thought about "coating" my hood but is so scratched and chipped that any new chips don't matter. I think J.C. Whitney carries some sort of foil like that. I also read in a US car magazine (the one that tested the new Mercedes 4x4) that this stuff can be professionally applied. They had it done to their Mercedes before they drove it to Alaska. Eckhard |

I thought I would find these in Germany, but no one uses these over there. They either have no bugs, or know something we don't. My 93 came with one with the word "EUROVAN" on it. The previous owner
