Eurovan Wiper Blades

The wiper blades are replaceable if they are original equipment. I change
mine out every six months. I've kept the original wiper housings since the
driver's side one has that "aerodynamic swooshy thing" which helps keep the
wiper in contact with the windshield at high speeds. (Like that matters on
an 5-cyl EV which tops out at just over 90 mph. Now, certain VR6 EVCs --
specifically from California -- are known to travel in the triple digits, but
we won't name names. . .)

First Freezing rain struck here last night. Tried to get the Eurovan going
to boost another vehicle, hit the wipers switch nothing. Pried the blades
off the windshield, most of one was left behind. Wiper fuse was blown.
Replaced it with another 15 amp.

Any recommendations re wiper blade replacements.. I am asking now before
going into the local VW dealer and shock at what they want. These don't
seem to be blade replaceable? Am I wrong?

Canadian tire has ones that fit nicely, although you need to buy a
little adapter clip to make them fit. I even think they have metal ones
that are very similar to the original vw ones, and probably Quite
durable, too.

Where do you get the clips? Canadian Tire? VW? NAPA?

I also used Bosch refills, they seemed to work well.
