ads for Emco lathes that I have seen in ¡° Model Engineer¡± I believe that the
smaller Emco lathes are now all made in Taiwan/China, but are still sold under
the Emco label, so I would assume they have to meet certain Emco quality
standards.

Interestingly, the business Little Machine Shop has a
Chinese one for sale that looks very much like the EMCO, though probably
not made as
well. Hey, it might do in a pinch.
