Electric Regattas in the NE

PPreuss

Does anyone in the USA compile a listing of Regatta's for electric boats? If so - I would be interested in finding out where / who and obtain one. Thanks. Paul Preuss

Paul:
We are planning to take part in the
small craft festival at St. Michaels Island on the
Chesapeke in Maryland from October 1 to 3. This will be the
EBAA annual get-together. We will also be represented
at the Annual Antique Marine Engine Expo at Mystic
Seaport, Conn. on August 21 and 22. You are invited to
take part. Details coming in the next EBA JOURNAL due
out in about a week.

best,
ken

Do you have any idea about how much electric boat
info will be a the St. Michaels get-together?

Do you think there will be an inwater
display?

My electric boat I discribed in message#20 is about
ready for display. It is running nicely now. I am
running at 4 knots (1/2 power) for about 8-10 hours and
5.5 knots (full power) for 3-4 hours. It handles
great and rides very well.

Hope to see you in
St. Michaels.

It looks as though there will be at least six
electric boats on display -- in and out of the water -- at
St. Michaels.
A workshop on electric boats will be
held on Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. Many of the most
knowledgeable EBAA members will be there, four of them on the
panel leading the discussion.
There will be plenty
of time for everybody to talk about his or her own
particular interest during the three days of the event.
I
hope you can come and bring your boat.
You can
pre-register with the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum (c/o John
Ford) at 410-754-2916.

Hope this
helps.

Ken Matthews
