Being they are GOLF cart batteries, they are plentiful and easy to come by, call around to the golf cart shops in your area.?? They buy batteries by the pallet, and should give you a good price

Clearly you are correct .. hence the statement "They seem suitable for a boat with a constant charge source (wind/solar/shore power)." They have to be kept hot and will shut down after 3-4 days
