Re: Electrically powered dingy on a mothership sailboat that only anchors
I would agree. Most mounting must be industrial quality. After seeing
almost anything fly off deck though well lashed down, manual setting works
best.
My experiments tell me in a stationary setting

Re: Electrically powered dingy on a mothership sailboat that only anchors
Your post raises more questions.
Do the panels follow the sun?... my panels when flat produce 1/4 the
power. At best 4/5ths of rated power.
Just because the voltage is up mid day tells you nothing.

Re: Electrically powered dingy on a mothership sailboat that only anchors
Because each battery bank has its own charge profile. So each mppt should
be set up for the two very specific and different charging profiles?

Re: Electrically powered dingy on a mothership sailboat that only anchors
I hope I¡¯m on the right track. Let¡¯s say you have a mothership isolated AGM
battery bank for the house and start batteries and as well as a second mppt
isolated for the lithium battery bank for

Re: Electrically powered dingy on a mothership sailboat that only anchors
Victron allows you to divert power to other sources once batteries are full.. a common use is to make more/hotter water for domestic use, but I don¡¯t see why you couldn¡¯t divert to another charger

azimuthing thrusters?
Good morning, Group
Does anyone know of a reasonable source for an azimuthing thruster in the 50hp range? I¡¯m investigating adding an electric azimuthing thruster to a 100+/- ton canal barge.

Electrically powered dingy on a mothership sailboat that only anchors
My first time on this wonderful info site. I thought my project would be easy. Mothership sailboat has 1k solar power with a 3k Victron inverter Charger powering the usual refer, autopilot, dc water

I bought a 20Ah electric bike battery to test using with my Torqeedo.? Obviously, I'll only be able to run the Torqeedo at very, very low speeds - but first would like to figure out what kind of

Re: What plugs are on the Torqeedo 4R?
Yes, the 48V battery connectors on the power cables.? I believe they are "Anderson connectors" (?).? Maybe 120A?? ?At 4000W (max for the Torqeedo 4R), that would be ~83A at 48V, so 120A rating

Re: 15 KW DC l electric conversikon
I see that the LTO cells have a nominal cell voltage of 2.3V, which is quite different than the 3.2V nominal voltage for LiFePO4 cells. That means you might have a hard time finding off-the-shelf
