Tesla's Supercharging for Tesla cars, and possibly some others, is
seamless. You drive up, plug in, and it's automatically charged to
the credit card on your Tesla account.
Others may use a mobile app. In the old days they used wireless
cards, RFID key fobs (in some countries), etc.
