Hi Lou,
Yes, I think (!) we can be pretty sure she's referring to the
auxiliary 12 Volt battery, since there's no ICE to start in a Think.
As in most EVs, the 12 Volt battery runs lights, fans, etc., and it
also allows the car's computer to close the contactor to allow the
main battery pack to power the traction motor, etc.
