Re: Comments on poll here please.
Thank you all for the kind comments. I promise to send the ones that will keep interest and not articles like how easy it is to cut frozen meat with a sharp knife. ?Beautiful day at the fly-in at Bob's. Anybody have pictures to share? There was a Stinson that should be an Oshkosh award winner if it goes next year. ?Our safety meeting went?well. Maury Dacey said we could do another in the spring on a different? topic if we want to. Will need input and ideas from everybody. ?Still no location for the r28000 engine project if we do it. Mark is still looking for fly over volunteers on the 11th. Need at least two besides Mark. ?Thinking of doing a breakfast again 2nd Saturday in November at the K&W. Some have said let's do it. Re: Comments on poll here please.
Glad to hear it although I did miss two on the quiz myself. ?Are you doing any flying? Weather has been the best I've seen in a while. We will be begging for it in the winter. I think Brent is flying rescue dogs. I went to Washington, NC Friday for fresh local seafood. Franks Mooney is in the shop getting avionics upgrade. Mike Bellino is helping me with the Zenith. The flight last week to Lewisburg was good. You may soon see a two place powered parachute in the Hangar I just acquired that needs some work. I hope to run it soon. That's all I have around the patch. Mike On Sun, Oct 27, 2024, 10:04?AM Lee Willis via <lwillis818=[email protected]> wrote: Mike? - keep the info coming! I appreciate it. Lee |

开云体育I’m kind of lost? What about the airport security factor. This is the only form of chapter communication I am apart of so I like it if we’re talking about that. Also a quick update on the large event at the airport. After coordinating with star flight training and CAP, are both on board, but we are going to start planning the event hopefully for the summer of 2025 brining back my note from some time ago.? Hangar flea market with tables for sale or swapping of members personal items. Sort of like a yard sale but of aviation items, tools, books, materials, hardware, electronic items, radios, etc. One day only. Small fee for a table. Maybe a food/ refreshment table. Invitation to New River and Martinsville chapters. Proceeds to chapter. This is just an idea. Poll to close Tuesday 6pm but please vote asap.

Re: My Project Zenith 650
Frank/All:? I did use a piece of said carpet to put on the ground last spring (and the spring prior) when I was performing the annual condition inspection on my airplane.? ?I would suggest leaving at least one piece of carpet for such purpose, it makes being on the hanger floor much more comfortable. Thank you, Ron M

I’m not familiar with the concrete counterweights, but I might be willing to put them in my hangar. I currently use an 80lb bucket of concrete mix when I need counterweights for my LongEZ. ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of
Mike Brown ? All, 1. I have been at the hangar working on my project with help thank goodness. I brought my shop vac to clean the floor. Anyone else wants to do some vacuuming feel free to use it. There is much we can do to improve the usefulness of the hangar. Example: Since no major maintenance is being done or will be done, I would like to store or dispose of those concrete counterweights that are continuously in the way. That is just one idea. I know we have discussed many things, but we need to figure how to get more use of our only resource. ?2. Please ..... if you are running an engine outside the hangar, please...please make sure the prop blast is not directed towards the inside of the hangar or the hangar door even if closed. Dust and dirt still will blow into the hangar even if the doors are closed. We actually have tumble weeds inside the hangar. ? Feel free to comment as this is our house. I will try to update as necessary and if you want to help with the hangar project, I'll be glad to see that your time is valued. Small steps lead to big change. ? Regards, Mike |
