HI,

I've been using YAAC with direwolf on a Pi400 for APRS and decided to try using the same radio and the direwolf instance to connect to a Winlink packet gateway. It works as expected but I'm seeing an APRS related message in the direwold console that I would like to suppress.

Unknown APRS Data Type Indicator "W", motorcycle

Is there something I need to change in the direwolf.conf to tell it we're not in APRS mode any more?

Hi Danny,
That looks like a pretty standard packet beacon. Note that it's not in the APRS position beacon format. You'll see those on non-APRS packet frequencies as well to announce the station is there.?
The direwolf log message about attempts to decode APRS packet format can be turned off with the -qd argument to direwolf.
