IGATE to AGWPE #linux

Hi all, I have compiled the latest Direwolf version for Linux and I would like to connect an APRS server
and send the received data to the AGWPE interface where an APRSWeb server is connected.
Direwolf connects to the APRS server but if I debug the igate (direwolf -di) I see no incoming traffic.
Is there some parameter to send to the APRS server to enable it to forward all traffic to Direwolf?

Hello Roby,

Leaving the AGW interface out of the discussion for a moment, once DIrewolf connects to the APRS-IS system, you need to then send it a PBEACON (Position Beacon) to let that system know where you are located.? Once it then knows where you are, then it's a matter of setting the FILTER, IGFILTER, IGTXVIA and IGTXLIMIT parameters for the traffic you want to receive from the APRS-IS system and the traffic you want to re-transmit back onto RF.? To start with, I would recommend to only re-transmit APRS messages for your local area.? That would be done with:

?? IGFILTER m/10
?? FILTER IG 0 t/m

That says "for the server side filter on the IG (igate) system to ADEVICE 0, send this direwolf device unit all relevant APRS M (messages) for a 10KM radius of your station.?? After that, please consult the Direwolf User Guide and of how to tune the reset of these filters for the traffic you desire but be careful, it's very easy to configure your system to start flooding the local RF channel with irrelevant noise as well as very easily overheat and destroy your transmitter radio.
