Following this video <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYhVDgRJBNw>

attempting to get aprs iGate & digipeate working

With the video as a guide, I can receive packets & iGate wit no issues. I can also the receive light on the radio (green) when it receives.

Transmitting packets on the other hand does not happen.

?

I figure I¡¯m missing some configuration settings, but no idea where to start

?

Not sure what other info would be of assistance.

This is what I see when direwolf starts

Since there is a message in your startup screen shot that says "... Note: PTT not configured for channel 0. (Ignore this if using VOX). ..."

I'd say you are either NOT using VOX, or your VOX is not configured to key the radio properly.? A common VOX configuration issue is typically that the audio level for VOX to trigger the PTT is higher than the TX audio for good packet transmissions.? On some interfaces, this can be adjusted by increasing the sound card output, but only of there is an adjustment (pot) between the VOX input and the Radio input.? Increase the sound card, and reduce the level going to the radio with the POT.

Hello Rodney,

hardware used

rpi3

direwolf

Which version of Direwolf?? Should be v1.6

leixen vv-898 (serial cable purchased)

Not sure what you mean about "serial cable".? You need an "audio" cable to be connected to the RA35 sound device

usb soundcard

Ok.

Following this video

Following random YouTube videos for a setup different than yours is almost always going to fail.? It's always recommended to follow the main documentation for configuring Direwolf and set things up for your specific configuration:

??

Transmitting packets on the other hand does not happen.

At time 1:10 in the video, he says he's using a Signalink sound device (does a form of VOX-based PTT).

At time 15:30 in the video, the Direwolf script clearly says:

?? PTT not configured for Channel 0

I figure I¡¯m missing some configuration settings, but no idea where to start

You need to read the above User Guide on Page 75 and configure the CM108/119 PTT support
