How does one change fonts in the XASTIR maps?
开云体育I don't know if this is the right fix Dennis, but I was finding the Mapnik tiles in Xastir were quite jagged, along with the font. I read that the fix was to press the F4 key, something about realigning the Mapnik scales. Sorry I have no further detail as to the reason etc, but it certainly worked on a Debian Bookworm laptop. I'm running a Raspberry Pi 3, with Direwolf and Xastir. The fonts in the Xastir are just about unreadable on a seven inch screen. Is there a reasonable way to change the fonts to some very plain? The defaults have a shadow on them that totally blur things. |
开云体育I agree with Rob here as this Direwolf forum is not the place to get help with Xastir.? That said, I'm also on the Xastir email list and this has been discussed there many times.? I recommend to search the archives and try some of the previous solutions other people implemented.? If none of those work for you, then it would be time to create a new post about your issue, what you've tried, and what you need specific help with.? Agree that this is not the correct forum to discuss Xastir specifically. That said, there is an option labeled "text on black" or something of that nature that IMO is much easier to read. 73, Lee K5DAT |
The reason I came here is because I did search for an XASTIR group, and none existed, and the only search result brought me here with this description:
"It can also be used as a virtual TNC for other applications such as APRSIS32, UI-View32, Xastir, APRS-TW, YAAC, UISS, Linux AX25, SARTrack, Winlink Express (formerly known as RMS Express, formerly known as Winlink 2000 or WL2K), BPQ32, Outpost PM, Ham Radio of Things (HRoT), and many others." If someone knows of another and better place, I'll gladly remove this discussion... Dennis, K1YPP |
On the front page of the Xastir website, the first entry in the Resources section is a link to Xastir mailing lists. Martin. 开云体育Martin is correct and on that page, it links to a way to search all posts.? For your ask, search for the word "fonts": ?? --David KI6ZHD On 03/01/2024 12:52 PM, Martin Cooper
