Everything is working now. I think I had some switch set somewhere on the radio. I got my Baofeng UV5r/Pi/Direwolf/Xastir iGate working. Then I reset the 878 to factory settings and load an old

Re: Increase line-in gain with alsa?
copy that, thanks, so no alsa-soft-preamp then??? There's many .asoundrc examples, with people getting 120% volume, but none of them seem to work in my implementation. I'm using the 1200baud output

Hey Ray, Ok. It would be good to figure this out as Direwolf shouldn't give errors like that. Ps. When using Dirwolf for general AX25 duties and not specific APRS duties, you should disable it's APRS

Re: Increase line-in gain with alsa?
I assume you're looking to do 9600bps or faster FSK packet. If not, you should not use the "9600 baud" or discriminator port as your signals need the pre-emphassis/de-emphassis for standard 1200bps

Re: PTT from BPQ
BPQ32 doesn't do TNC duties.. it's Direwolf that does that. If BPQ32 needs to send something, it would send that detail via (in your case), the AGW port and Direwolf would key up your radio and send

Increase line-in gain with alsa?
I started using an "Audio Injector Z" audio hat with a Pi which has a -6dB hardware cut on the Line-In. The line/discriminator output of my Yaesu ftm400 is not adjustable, so levels are low on

Hello Rick, Interesting.. would it be possible for you to capture the audio of one of these packets into a WAV file and send it to the list? Alternatively, if you have a full Linux AX.25 setup, could

Just a thought:In your printout, Direwolf clearly determines the packet is NOT AX.25 (line 2), but still sends it through the AX.25 interpreter - probably the default for unknown packet types.? Since
