Whatever USB or LSB, the mark and space (or the opposite since FSK300 doesn’t need the mark to be the lower toner since it’s asynchronous mode), they must match with 10149,2 & 10149,4 Khz… but VFO dial out ham band is weird

I've had direwolf running for a long time and haven't received any packets over RF.
Is anyone operating on 10.1476 MHz?

I was there most of the day yesterday. Decoded and decoding. Including me I think there are 3 stations in North America :) Upper side band right ?? About 30watts here in california.

The VFO dial frequency and mode mean nothing, the question is: where are “falling" mark & space? For 30m they should fall on 10149,2 & 10149,4 kHz
To answer your question you need to know your TNC audio tones or more interesting your TNC audio Center tone Frequency (CF). Whatever your TNC audio CF is, the combination with your VFO dial must match with above mentioned frequencies, i-e: TNC tones of 1800 and 2000hz -> CF of 1900Hz -> VFO dial: 10147,4 Khz. (10147,4 + 1,9 = 10149,3 Khz CF). The same applies to the useless LSB but then you must subtract the TNC CF to the VFO dial…

For what it’s worth I’ve been Txing and Rxing on 10147.6kHz USB recently from the Caribbean.
I receive packets from several stations, some of whom are transmitting regularly.
And as stated in another current thread have been received by stations in the US and Europe.
Using direwolf and yaac on an Icom IC-7300 at 40W, but with the rig’s Mod Level at 50%.

Yes, 10147.60kHz is the correct dial frequency, with mode USB.
I’ve been using this recently from the Caribbean.
Got through to aprs.fi <> via several stations in the US and one in Europe.

What data mode do Garmin RINO radios use
Bob Bruninga, WB4APR put out this call to determine the data mode being used by Garmin to transmit packet data.
I am on a mission to identify the mode. My belief is it is one of the FKS protocols. by law it has to be AFSK, FSK, or PSK.? Have any of you looked into this. Any ideas on how to sniff it out? Thank you. WS7PB

I have installed both the runtime and development packages for hamlib, udev, and Avahi, so they are all there, and the compiled direwolf executable does report that hamlib and dns-sd features are available.

I'm sure your Surface computer has more than enough
CPU power to run Direwolf.? I would be more concerned about it's
operating system and any quirks included.? Can you tell use how
this is all setup?? How are you trying to assert PTT?? To what
kind of radio?? How close is the radio's antenna to the Surface Go
and it's cabling (could be an RFI issue).

I keep getting this error message when I try to transmit a
packet using Direwolf on my MS Surface Go:
Audio output failure waiting for buffer.
This can occur when we are producing audio output for
transmit and the operating system doesn't provide buffer
space after waiting and retrying many times.
Timeout waiting for input from audio device 0.
Terminating after audio input failure.
Does anyone know what is causing this error? I suppose it has
something to do with the Surface Go being a very poor,
under-powered machine that I probably shouldn't be trying to run
anything substantial on. But I have managed to run things like
WSJTX, FLdigi and JS8Call on it.
Is there anything I can do to fix this, apart from using a
better computer?

2 separate incidences running from different directories. as Admin
The Windows Thicket of 'Permissioning' properly is Now stable but WAS driving me nuts...
Be careful as the soundcards enumerate as it's easy to mix the 'plumbing' up
Single antenna and re-built hand-me-down duplexer. Headless SYNTOR and a Yaesu 1500...
