Re: GPS problem
Hello John, A few questions here: 1. What version of Direwolf are you running? v1.6 is current and v1.7 (currently in the Github DEV branch) should be released soon. 2. Before you start

GPS problem
My TBEACON and SMARTBEACON setup only fetches new GPS position at reboot. Beacons are sent, but the GPS position do not change throughout my travel. If I reboot the RPi, it changes.? ?I am running
Small tip if PTT hangs!
I am using direwolf with a RPi2 and GPIO as PTT. I was having problems with PTT getting stuck on send. Turns out it was because of a bad antenna.. A lot of RFI was created, and this caused PTT to

Direwolf striping off message sequence number
Hi All, As suggested I am now running dev version (1.7) of Direwolf. I was playing and testing messaging capabilities and I must say the way Direwolf handles messages and courtesy posits is excellent

Re: Config file: Limitation in line length?
Hello Geoffrey, Since you've observed that the upcoming Direwolf v1.7 has already increased the max intake byte count to 1200 bytes, it sounds like it's the right thing to do. You might consider

Re: Rasberry Pi 3, Direwolf, USB soundcard doesn't digipeat packets.
The point is that the SignaLink doesn't have any capture _controls_ (i.e., volume control) in software. You have to manually turn the physical knob on the front of the box, rather than doing it in

Re: Config file: Limitation in line length?
Hi David, Thank you for your reply. I am aware of the 512 bytes limitation on the IS side, hence the filter with the wildcards. But the IS IGFILTER line is working as expected. This is pretty much

Re: Rasberry Pi 3, Direwolf, USB soundcard doesn't digipeat packets.
I picked up a SignaLink, looking at your config for direwolf, did you do anything other than change the device number? ?alsamixer doesn't show any capture devices for the SignaLink

Re: Config file: Limitation in line length?
Hello Geoffrey, Per the documentation at http://www.aprs-is.net/connecting.aspx , the maximum limit of a filtering command send to an APRS-IS Igate is 512 bytes including the CR/LF sequence. It's

Config file: Limitation in line length?
Hi All, First time posting here. I am currently in the process of migrating our club digipeaters from APRX to Direwolf. On APRX I had following setup. I would push every member of our club from IS

Re: Piprewire from Direwolf makes RPi2 freeze.
Thank you for responding. I am running Raspberry Pi OS, and yes I did remove pulse. I think I read it was recommended to remove it for Direwolf. Maybe I am wrong. Thank you!

Re: Piprewire from Direwolf makes RPi2 freeze.
Your errors seem to be scheduler related and not Direwolf per se. Which Linux distribution is this? For an Rpi2, I would recommend to stick with Raspberry Pi OS for the best hardware compatibility.

Piprewire from Direwolf makes RPi2 freeze.
I am running direwolf on a RPi2 with soundcard to radio but it keep crashes and the RPi needs a reboot. I get these messages in?/var/log/messages just before the RPi freezes. Jun 26 10:33:54

Re: Direwolf Rx Audio w/DINAH
Hello Lee, I don't have a DINAH unit but I swear I've read that other Direwolf + V71A users have been able to get the RX audio levels 50. Two other ideas: 1. It seems the DINAH has an RX Boost

Re: Direwolf Rx Audio w/DINAH
Thanks David, This doesn't seem to be related to the COS/VOLDN issue with the DINAH. I was already aware of that. When I connect the DINAH to a Yaesu FTM-3100R, which has a home-brew external packet

Re: Direwolf Rx Audio w/DINAH
There are a lot of archived posts about this on the DINAH list and the level settings depends if you're using 1200bps, 9600pbs, which radio,

Direwolf Rx Audio w/DINAH
Hello, I have a DINAH in use with Direwolf, and DW shows received audio levels in the 9-12 range with a target of 50 per the manual. When I adjust the mic gain for the DINAH using alsamixer, the

Re: Planning to use Kenwood D710 & RPi for iGate gateway
Technically, no. Direwolf have all the required functionality to support all aspects of APRS, APRS-Igating, beacons, telemery, etc. To be clear though, Direwolf doesn't support APRS messaging or
