One problem may that you are not using plain ASCII double-quotes (Unicode character \u0022). Note that your config file text below shows Unicode characters \u201c (left-leaning quote) and \u201d (right-leaning quote) instead, which Direwolf probably doesn't understand.

It is generally a _very_ bad idea to use a fancy word processor (such as Microsoft Word) to edit a program's configuration file, as the word processor is more interested in making your text "pretty" and typographically correct than in being syntactically correct for the consuming software. Use a "stupid" editor like vi, which will put what you type, with no extra decorations, formatting, etc.

Also, the only sound interfaces Direwolf detected, according to your report, are the native iMac sound ports. Are you really intending to use the Mac built-in mike and speaker? It doesn't look like you've connected your radio at all.
