¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHello K7DMJ, Welcome to the world of HF!? It's probably less of a matter of the band being dead but the propagation on then band taking your signals to other parts of the planet where there aren't any 10m iGates.? The other factor here is that 300bps AFSK packet isn't a very robust mode.? You will need to have quite a bit of patience, do a lot retries, change frequencies throughout the day to best match propagation, etc to maximize your chances.? If both stations support FX.25 (Direwolf does enable reception by default but doesn't transmit it by default), it can help quite a bit but FX25 is relatively new and it's not exactly clear how many HF stations have adopted it.? Alternatively, there is the SCS Robust Packet protocol which is substantially more robust than 300bps AFSK packet but other than using an SCS hardware TNC, the only other implementation I'm aware of isn't fully operational ( and ). --David KI6ZHD On 11/24/2022 07:57 AM, David, K7DMJ
