As for your mysterious sound devices, Googling the string "MAI PCM i2s-hifi-0" gets lots of hits:
?? - This thread says it's coming from installing kodi:

I still have not been able to
figure out where the other cards are coming from.? I even
unplugged my HDMI monitor.? aplay -l still shows all the
devices.? Using Josh's example of device names instead
worked around this and my system now survives reboots and I
never have to edit my direwolf.conf.
