¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Bob Yes the documentation is a little confusing as modem design has evolved. The current default of MODEM 300 creates 9 "B" modems roughly 30Hz apart. This handles HF stations that may be slightly off frequency. I'd suggest you at least start (or stick) with that. Unless you really want to use custom mark/space audio
frequencies, 1600:1800 is the default so can be omitted. Direwolf
can actually be configured for non standard baud rate, tones and
spacing if you wish to experiment. The 7@30 defines how many modems get created and what spacing,
but that can only be specified if the modem is a "minus" variety,
like B-. The "plus" variety auto creates the 9@30 odd so as a
command parameter it conflicts. That's why you get that error
message you posted. As suggested, can be omitted. The /4 is the decimation or sample rate "reduction" that this
modem might use. Handy if you have CPU constraints at a small
trade-off of decode accuracy. I actually use /1 but have CPU
cycles to burn. Cheers Bob VK2YQA On 22/1/25 12:18, Bob Watson via
