John, honestly no, I am not confident that it is using the correct configuration file. I believe there is only one file called direwolf.con, which is in the same directory as Direwolf
/home/KK7BCO/direwolf/build

As you say, it seems strange that the log is not even printing an attempt to connect to the server.

I just launched it as Rob suggests, using the fixed IP and gate. I will report later if there is any change, but currently the log shows nothing significant.
