Without his pure genius, then it's best to pull the digitalhobbyist plug and save me $150 per year I have it all, RELS, CNC 4 axis mill, 3D printing, so what more do I need.??? Certainly not armchair engineers. So sorry. John
I've been following this group for some time now and am looking for a ELS for my small lathe.
There was a post from John that he was finishing a few kits and making them available when completed.
I sent him a reply that I would like to have one and got a reply saying I would be on his list to get one when they were completed.
It's been some time now but have not gotten any word if they are done.
I want to install a two axis unit so I can do threading.
Does anyone know if the ELS units have completed?
?Thanks Will

I read the "30 day" thing as well.
I'm a lurker. I can't post anything meaningful because I'm not there yet. I'm slowly working through the long list of projects after making major life changes (retiring, farm changes, family health, grandkids).
I also am the owner of 21 groups ranging from 500 down to 2. I can tell you that 95% of the activities in a group are from less than 10% of the members. Everyone on the group gets what they want.

John,
First, while I greatly respect you, your work, and your work ethic, everyone has different priorities on how they use their time here on this Earth. To say that any priorities not in line with yours are "all just excuses to me" fails to recognize that we are all responsible for making our own decisions.
Second, you and I have discussed lurkers and the large percentage of members in every group that do not post regularly. These members derive a great deal of benefit just from reading the posts and discussions and should remain members. I belong to numerous groups, and have learned much simply by lurking. I don't have time to keep a schedule of when I must post to each to remain a member! I also don't want to receive a daily messages from Digital Hobbyist consisting primarily of "Hi", "Hello", "Howdy", etc. I disagree strongly with this "30-day post or out" policy, and, confirming my earlier email to you, I therefore resign as a moderator for Digital Hobbyist. -- Regards,

Look for "reference mark every 50mm" or "quadrature with index" and an R pin?on the connector pin out. When I bought my scales the documentation showed a 'R' pin but I hadn't known enough to order that option. (The ebay seller had something in the listing about letting them know if you wanted the 'R' option.)

I have silently been a member of this
group (never before today commented) because I can not contribute
or even comment intelligently due to being 2" from being homeless
due to a large tree and unscrupulous contractor.
I had hoped to be able to continue to
try to learn something new from this group, but if I must be cut,
so be it, you are the boss.
Good luck with your decision(s).
