Have yet to notice any, but then I only got a few installed. Didn't spend too much time on that, partialy because it's script. Time to downoad and reload. Appreciate the heads-up. On 2024-03-28 03:27, Rusty Haddock wrote:

Yet another release of RPi OS
Interesting... There must have been some bugs in the 3-15 release of Raspberry Pi OS as I just noticed some new downloads.
Here are the release notes:
2024-03-15: * Audio streams will now not be interrupted when other audio devices are connected or disconnected * Keyboard shortcut to install Orca no longer prompts for password, and will now wait for clock synchronisation rather than failing silently * Orca screen reader updated to version 45 with various additional small bug fixes * Obsolete fbturbo video driver removed * Bug fix - saved display resolution settings not reloading under X * Raspberry Pi firmware 6e0ae774407d68659b50cfbeb9f493ed16718866 * Linux kernel 6.6.20 - 6f16847710cc0502450788b9f12f0a14d3429668 ? ?_____ |\/ ? o \? ?o ? ? ? ?Rusty Haddock? <=>? Re: Calculating Pi on a RPi 5
In engineering school, back in the coal burning days, the original 4-function calculators became
available. Most did not have a pi button. A sufficiently good approximation of pi for any exam could be had taking the string 113355 Splitting it:? 113? 355?? and then dividing: 355 / 113 = 3.141593 |

Re: DFWRPI 03/2024
I got the little controller box open from the Wally World LED string -- no glue so it just took a little prying.? The wires to the LEDs were easy enough to unsolder and then connect to my Pimoroni PlasmaStick 2040.? LEDs are clearly WS2812 compatible thusly?the auto-start program on my PlasmaStick's 2040 ran the LEDs just fine!!!? MORE BLINKENLIGHTS! Let's see... the string is 5m (16+ feet) long with 50 RGB LEDs. The copper colored wire is?+V.? Unlike the Pimoroni wired snot balls, the center wire is Ground and the wire opposite the?+V line is the WS2812 Data line.? Lots of fun for $9.88.? BTW, Pimoroni's?similar?strand is normally $12.70 although it's currently on sale for $8.89.? Still, these LED strings can be had from your local Wally World (Wal-Mart) store or order?them online with no waiting for an order to arrive from across the pond. :) I'll bring them with me on Saturday. ? ? ? ? -Rusty- ? ?_____ |\/ ? o \? ?o ? ? ? ?Rusty Haddock? <=>? March already, summer is on its way. Time flies way too fast. But surely some will have had some time to put together cool new gear, so here's your chance to present it. As always, both in person at and online at:

Re: RISC OS on Raspberry Pi
That's funny I was looking at alternative OS's today to run on a tiny ARM SBC that only has 32MB of RAM and 16MB of flash. The SOC is an ARMv5TE which is listed as compatible. My other options were compile with buildroot or RT-Thread. Thanks for bringing this up. On February 26, 2024 3:11:06 PM CST, Rusty Haddock <kd4wlz@...> wrote:
