Jon (J) Jentink passed away today, June 27, 2024, at his home near
Diana, Texas.
J was an active
member of the Dallas/Fort Worth Unix Users Group, the North Texas
Linux Users Group, and the Dallas Raspberry Pi Users Group. He was
also an Expert-rated ham radio operator interested in QRP
transmission and devices.
In lieu of a
religious service, we are thinking of a memorial service to be held
at a DFW-area restaurant where we can talk about his life. I am
thinking of doing this next weekend, July 6 or 7, perhaps around 1
PM.
Please let me know
if this seems reasonable to do, or if you have other suggestions of
how to honor J.
