I know it used to work on the stream mark 1 but don't think it works as well on mark 2.

Adrian, I've had this problem too. Sorry to say I think its pretty common and one of the weaknesses of the Stream and Trek.
Again sorry to say it, but Humanware do themselves no good at all when
it comes to their record on this probolem, though of course they do
repair - at a cost.
We can hope that the replacement when its announced is better in this
respect as well as addressng other issues.
