Re: [TAVIP] bbc dilivery

Yes Pele, I can add apps, though I still find it rather a pain. Assuming this to be a free app then I do not have to bother about setting up an account to download this app.

I am still psycing myself up to link my Amazon smart speaker to BBC Sounds.? this is down to Synaptic, seemingly installing the Sounds app which bundles with their software to an email address of their choosing which, although a GMail address isn't the one I have used to sign up to Sounds!? so, I am guessing this is why, when my speaker sends a link it in fact opens in the app but without me being able to do anything with it!? Seems an unnecessary mess, but there it is.

Leaves me wondering if indeed we are to be forced down the Sounds route then it should probably be pre-installed on future devices with the password sent to us securely for the times we may need it.

Sorry for the lengthy post, but I am an avid radio listener who gets full value from the licence fee.? Anyone needing an easy way to see 4Extrra's schedule for the week ahead could do worse than subscribe to the 4Extra emails that Pele sends out.

Hi Ray

There is one Speech Radio app for Android and one for the iPhone.

I think when BWBF set up BBC on the Sonata they used the higher quality streams. I am hoping that Speech Radio might also use these streams. It should be easier to navigate than BBC Sounds.

Although I have not tried it yet, the description says you can speak or use gestures to access the app. This could be useful for people who find touch screens difficult.

Are you able to add apps to your Synapptic phone?
