Re: Probability internet players we use will not access BBC streams after mid 2023

It was very strange that I didn't get any message when I was listen to BBC Radio 5 live Ben Radio 4 later on. I was using my Victor trick so I wonder if that made a difference? I was using my own playlist not the human where suggested playlist. Best Mrs Villa

Paul, we established a day or two ago that Humanware uses OOtune, thanks
to posts from Pele and Adian who reminded me of this.

Perhaps you have only just subscribed to this list but I started this
discussion about some of the BBC radio feeds being discontinued. Pele
reported hearing the short message from BBC Sounds while listening via
the standard HW UK playlist, so it is seemingly these feeds as well as
others that Pele has tapped into in creating her own playlists that are
effected.

Humanware say they will address the problem if and when the feeds on the
VR players stop functioning.

A brief remark in the messae I got from Humanware sales hinted that
there should be good news next year about a new player development but I
have heard nothing about this.

Ray.

I don't know about the Stream, but the Milestone uses VTuner.

All the best

Hi Ray

I think this is rather sad. I do not often listen to those streams, but am glad to have them.

Have you, or has anyone, contacted Humanware about this. I don't suppose it will make any difference, but at least it will make them aware.

Presumably the Milestone uses the same streams.
