I just came on some posts via the latest digest of the Access-UK list on getting help with layout of the Trek and getting manuals for it.? This was in response to an email lamenting the fact that it would seem you do not get a CD or anything with instructions when you buy a Trek, so these links included in the edited posts might be useful to store for future reference.
If you have an iPhone, one thing you could do is download the HWBuddy app. This among other things points you to full descriptions of all Humanware products. The Trek is definitely there, so you should be able to get started independently of sighted help.
