Re: talking books

I am puzzled by this mention of the "Sonnet player".? Can anyone tell me what it is, or was?

I produce/compile a talking newspaper in the Wet Midlands and as it happens we still have some of the old Kings Audio players to hand out to our listners, but would dearly like to get a player somewhere near to its ease of use.

there is the one produced by Synnaptic but its not an ideal replacement.? the RNIB USB players don't quite cut it either.

Sad to say I fear we won't see a replacement for the Kings player because of the small market for one, but also sooner or later local TN producers are going to be online only in the next decade.Ray.

Hi,

I had the same problem so took the machine to the local mobile phone shop where they changed the battery for me, apparently its a simple mobile phone battery and easy to change. It cost me a mere 4 pounds.

hi folks at the minute I received talking books from the RNIB on USP Drive. Can anybody recommend a machine to play these on as my sonnet is now broken? It will not charge. Many thanks.
