THE JOY OF FORGIVENESS
Words and Music: Ken Bible
Forgiveness - what a joyful gift! You love me, Father God, as if I never turned away. You give what I can never earn,? A favor, Lord, I can't return, A debt I cannot pay.
Forgiveness - what a joyful sound! I'll share Your gift with all around, For none of us can pay. Forget what others owe to me! I set us both completely free! I wipe their wrong away!
Forgiveness - Father God, in You The dreams of love are coming true. Your peace will be restored, For Mercy sees what we can be And grows it to reality In Jesus Christ our Lord.

THROUGH THE LOVE OF GOD OUR SAVIOR

THROUGH THE LOVE OF GOD OUR SAVIOR
Words: Ma?ry B. Pe?ters Music: Lu?ther O. Em?er?son
Through the love of God our Savior, All will be well; Free and changeless is His favor; All, all is well. Precious is the blood that healed us; Perfect is the grace that sealed us; Strong the hand stretched out to shield us; All must be well.
Though we pass through tribulation, All will be well; Ours is such a full salvation; All, all is well. Happy still in God confiding, Fruitful, if in Christ abiding, Holy through the Spirit¡¯s guiding, All must be well.
We expect a bright tomorrow; All will be well; Faith can sing through days of sorrow, All, all is well. On our Father¡¯s love relying, Jesus every need supplying, Or in living, or in dying, All must be well.?

LEANING ON THE EVERLASTING ARMS

LEANING ON THE EVERLASTING ARMS
Lyrics: Elisha Albright Hoffman? Music: Anthony Johnson Showalter
What a fellowship, what a joy divine, ? Leaning on the Everlasting Arms! What a blessedness, what a peace is mine, ? Leaning on the Everlasting Arms! ? Leaning, leaning, Safe and secure from all alarms; ? Leaning, leaning, ? Leaning on the Everlasting Arms.
O how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way, ? Leaning on the Everlasting Arms! O how bright the path grows from day to day, ? Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
What have I to dread, what have I to fear, ? Leaning on the Everlasting Arms! I have peace complete with my Lord so near, ? Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!

THE VICTORY IN TRIAL?
Words and Music: Barney E. Warren
Praise God for His grace bestowed upon me, How sad was the state I was in! The burden of wrong has gone from my heart, He cleanseth me now from all sin.
Refrain: Oh, come, weary soul, and flee to the cross, Cling closely to Jesus for refuge and rest; The bondage of sin offers nothing but dross, The foe has been conquered, trust God and be blest.
Oh, joy to my soul, my conscience is clear! I¡¯m glad for the change that is wrought; When tempted and tried the angels are near To bring me the strength I have sought.
Why carry a load that Satan would bring? Oh, rest in the Lord with your care; While saved by His grace the victory sing, Whatever the burden you bear.

O GOD, YOU GIVE WELCOME?
Words: Carolyn Winfrey Gillette
O God, you give welcome; you care and provide. You cherish each person with love reaching wide. We're made in your image and so hear your call To humbly reach out with a welcome to all.
Yet near us are families with no place to stay And children who won't have a good meal today. Your will is for justice where everyone thrives; May we build communities, strengthening lives.
Bless children who wish for a permanent place And youth who are longing to have their own space. Bless parents who feel that they're struggling alone; May we share their journey to find a new home.
Bless houses of worship we use a new way, As classrooms are turned into places to stay. Bless kitchens where suppers are gladly prepared And each sacred space where your welcome is shared.

DEAR LORD, TODAY OUR CHILD

DEAR LORD, TODAY OUR CHILD
Dear Lord, today, our child, An heritage from thee, We bring in faith and claim for him Thy promise free.
Dear Lord, today, our child, Sweet token of thy love, We bring into thy church For blessings from above.
Dear Lord, today our child, Rich treasure of thy grace, We bring upon his brow The sign and seal to place.
Dear Lord, today, our child, A gracious gift of thine, We bring to set apart, Baptized in Name Divine.
Dear Lord, today our child, The fruit of God-blessed seed, We bring to thee to ask For help in ev'ry need.

OH, THE BITTER SHAME AND SORROW
05 January 2020
OH, THE BITTER SHAME AND SORROW?
Lyrics: Theodore Monod? Music: James Mountain
Oh, the bitter shame and sorrow, ? That a time could ever be, When I let the Savior¡¯s pity Plead in vain, and proudly answered, ? All of self, and none of Thee, ? All of self and none of Thee.
Yet He found me; I beheld Him ? Bleeding on the cursed tree; Heard Him pray, Forgive them, Father, And my wistful heart said faintly, ? Some of self, and some of Thee, ? Some of self, and some of Thee.
Day by day His tender mercy, ? Healing, helping, full and free, Sweet and strong, and ah! so patient, Brought me lower while I whispered, ? Less of self, and more of Thee, ? Less of self, and more of Thee.
Higher than the highest heavens, ? Deeper than the deepest sea, Lord, Thy love at last hath conquered; Grant me now my heart¡¯s petition, ? None of self, and all of Thee, ? None of self, and all of Thee.

GOD MOVES IN A MYSTERIOUS WAY
04 January 2020
GOD MOVES IN A MYSTERIOUS WAY
Lyrics: William Cowper? Music: William Jones
God moves in a mysterious way ? His wonders to perform: He plants His footsteps in the sea, ? And rides upon the storm.
Deep in unfathomable mines ? Of never-failing skill, He treasures up His bright designs, ? And works His sovereign will.
Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take; ? The clouds ye so much dread Are big with mercy, and shall break ? In blessings on your head.
Judge not the Lord by feeble sense, ? But trust Him for His grace; Behind a frowning providence ? He hides a smiling face.
His purposes will ripen fast, ? Unfolding every hour: The bud may have a bitter taste, ? But sweet will be the flower.
Blind unbelief is sure to err, ? And scan His work in vain; God is His own Interpreter, ? And He will make it plain.

WE PRAY FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT PRAY
03 January 2020
WE PRAY FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT PRAY
Words: C. New?man Hall Music: Jo?seph Mainz?er
We pray for those who do not pray! Who waste, O Lord, salvation¡¯s day; For those we love who love not Thee¡ª Our grief, their danger, pitying see.
Those for whom many tears are shed, And blessings breathed upon their head; The children of Thy people save, From godless life and hopeless grave.
Hear fathers, mothers, as they pray For sons, for daughters far away¡ª Brother for brother, friend for friend¡ª Hear all our prayers that upwards blend.
We pray for those who long have heard, But still neglect Thy gracious Word; Soften the hearts obdurate made By calls unheeded, vows delayed.
Release the drunkard from his chain, Save those beguiled by pleasure vain, Set free the slaves of lust, and bring Back to their home the wandering.
The hopeless cheer; guide those who doubt; Restore the lost; cast no one out; For all that are far off we pray, Since we were once far off as they.

I WOULD BE LIKE THEE
Words: W. A. Schell Music: Charles H. Gabriel?
I would be like Thee, Jesus, my Lord, Gentle and loving, trusting Thy word; Lowly in spirit, pure in my heart, Living each day from all evil apart.
Refrain: I would be like Thee, filled with Thy grace, Till in Thy beauty, I look on Thy face; I would be like Thee, lost in Thy love, I would be like Thee in Heaven above.
I would be like Thee, humble in mind, Growing more earnest, faithful and kind; Seeking for souls, to save them from sin, And for Thy kingdom their service to win.
I would be like Thee, speaking the truth, Giving my life to God in my youth; Listening for Thy message to me, Spending my best days in working for Thee.
I would be like Thee, when I am tried, Crushing out sin, temptation and pride; All Thy commandments would I obey, Learning Thy will, Thee to follow alway.

STANDING AT THE PORTAL
Words: Fran?ces R. Ha?ver?gal Music: Franz J. Hay?dn
Standing at the portal Of the opening year, Words of comfort meet us, Hushing every fear; Spoken thru the silence By our Savior¡¯s voice, Tender, strong and faithful, Making us rejoice.
Refrain: Onward, then, and fear not, Children of the day; For His Word shall never, Never pass away.
I, the Lord, am with thee, Be thou not afraid; I will help and strengthen Be thou not dismayed. Yea, I will uphold thee With My own right hand; Thou art called and chosen In My sight to stand.
For the year before us, O what rich supplies! For the poor and needy Living streams shall rise; For the sad and sinful Shall His grace abound; For the faint and feeble Perfect strength be found.
He will never fail us, He will not forsake; His eternal covenant He will never break. Resting on the promise, What have we to fear? God is all sufficient For the coming year.

O GOD, OUR HELP IN AGES PAST
31 December 2019
O GOD, OUR HELP IN AGES PAST
Lyrics: Isaac Watts? Music: William Croft
O God, our help in ages past, ? Our hope for years to come, Our shelter from the stormy blast, ? And our eternal home.
Under the shadow of Thy throne ? Thy saints have dwelt secure; Sufficient is Thine arm alone, ? And our defence is sure.
Before the hills in order stood, ? Or earth received her frame, From everlasting Thou art God, ? To endless years the same.
A thousand ages in Thy sight ? Are like an evening gone; Short as the watch that ends the night ? Before the rising sun.
Time, like an ever-rolling stream, ? Bears all its sons away; They fly forgotten, as a dream ? Dies at the opening day.
O God, our help in ages past, ? Our hope for years to come, Be Thou our guard while life shall last, ? And our eternal home.

ETERNAL AND IMMORTAL KING
30 December 2019
ETERNAL AND IMMORTAL KING
Words: Philip Doddridge? Music: Anthony J. Showalter
Eternal and immortal King, Thy peerless splendors none can bear; But darkness veils seraphic eyes, When God with all His luster¡¯s there.
Yet faith can pierce the awful gloom, The great Invisible can see; And with its tremblings mingle joy In fixed regards, great God, to Thee.
Then every tempting form of sin, Shamed in Thy presence, disappears; And all the glowing raptured soul The likeness it contemplates it wears,
O ever conscious to my heart, Witness to its supreme desire, Behold, it presseth on to Thee, For it hath caught the heav¡¯nly fire.
This one petition would it urge, To bear Thee ever in its sight; In life, in death, in worlds unknown, Its only portion and delight.

ANOTHER YEAR HAS ROLLED BY
29 December 2019
ANOTHER YEAR HAS ROLLED BY
Another year has rolled by The time flies so quickly by, This year which is to pass by May be the last year for some, It's Thy mercy kept us through Have we been benefited? We should ask, are we prepared If we are called home this year?
This world is a battle ground, Thousands are falling down dead, The arrows of death that fly Can be sent to me, to you When the word is preached, we hear Help our hearts to meditate, Eternity's close at hand We are standing on the brink.
If we are saved from our sins By the grace of God divine We shall hear Him say, `Come home,` May we see His face in heav'n; For Thy people here on earth Grant us mercy this new year; The year that's more full of joy Is the one that sees them home.

LET JUSTICE ROLL DOWN
Refrain: Let justice roll down Like a mighty river Let righteousness flow on and on 'Till the desert becomes Like the Garden of Eden Where the nations will come And be healed And the glory of God is revealed
Humble yourselves in the sight Of the Lord Acknowledge the depths Of your sin And let the ungodly man Turn to the Lord He will have mercy on him
Love one another and learn To forgive Walk in His marvelous light Reflect the radiance of God As you live Blameless and pure in His sight
Open your hearts to the poor And depressed Let them see the Father in you Open your ears to the cries Of the lost Then God will listen to you

LOVE DIVINE, ALL LOVE EXCELLING
27 December 2019
LOVE DIVINE, ALL LOVE EXCELLING
Lyrics: Charles Wesley? Music: John Zundel
Love Divine, all love excelling, ? Joy of heav¡¯n, to earth come down; Fix in us Thy humble dwelling, ? All Thy faithful mercies crown. Jesus, Thou art all compassion; ? Pure, unbounded love Thou art; Visit us with Thy salvation, ? Enter every trembling heart.
Breathe, O breathe Thy loving Spirit ? Into every troubled breast; Let us all in Thee inherit, ? Let us find the promised rest. Take away the love of sinning; ? Alpha and Omega be; End of faith, as its beginning, ? Set our hearts at liberty.
Come, Almighty, to deliver, ? Let us all Thy life receive; May Thy presence e¡¯er be with us, ? Never more Thy temples leave. Thee we would be always blessing, ? Serve Thee as Thou wouldst approve, Pray, and praise Thee without ceasing, ? Glory in Thy perfect love.
Finish, then, Thy new creation; ? Pure and spotless let us be; Let us see Thy great salvation ? Perfectly restored in Thee; Changed from glory into glory ? Till with Thee we take our place, Till we cast our crowns before Thee, ? Lost in wonder, love and praise.

THY LIFE WAS GIVEN FOR ME
26 December 2019
THY LIFE WAS GIVEN FOR ME
Lyrics: Frances Ridley Havergal? Music: Philip Paul Bliss
Thy Life was giv¡¯n for me, Thy blood, O Lord, was shed, That I might ransomed be, And quickened from the dead; Thy Life was giv¡¯n for me, for me; What have I giv¡¯n for Thee?
Long years were spent for me In weariness and woe, That through eternity Thy glory I might know; Long years were spent for me, for me; Have I spent one for Thee?
Thy Father¡¯s home of light, Thy rainbow-circled throne, Were left for earthly night, For wanderings sad and lone; Yea, all was left for me, for me; Have I left aught for Thee?
Thou, Lord, hast borne for me More than my tongue can tell Of bitterest agony, To rescue me from hell; Thou suff¡¯redst all for me, for me; What have I borne for Thee?
And Thou hast brought to me Down from Thy home above Salvation full and free, Thy pardon and Thy love; Great gifts, great gifts Thou broughtest me; What have I brought to Thee?
Oh, let my life be given, My years for Thee be spent; World-fetters all be riven, And joy with suff¡¯ring blent; Thou gav¡¯st Thyself for me, for me, I give myself to Thee.

JOY TO THE WORLD
Words: Isaac Watts
Joy to the world, the Lord is come! Let earth receive her King! Let ev'ry heart prepare Him room, And heav'n and nature sing, And heav'n and nature sing, And heav'n, and heav'n and nature sing.
Joy to the earth, the Savior reigns!? Let men their songs employ, While fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains Repeat the sounding joy, Repeat the sounding joy, Repeat, repeat the sounding joy.
No more let sins and sorrows grow, Nor thorns infest the ground; He comes to make His blessings flow Far as the curse is found, Far as the curse is found, Far as, far as the curse is found.
He rules the world with truth and grace, And makes the nations prove The glories of His righteousness And wonders of His love, And wonders of His love, And wonders, wonders of His love.

YE HAVE DONE IT UNTO ME
Words and Music: Al?on?zo B. Brag?don
Thro¡¯ the bleak and dreary street, Where the cold winds keenly blow, See, a child with bare, chilled feet, Wandering on ¡¯mid ice and snow; Houseless, homeless, God¡¯s own Word Shall its precious comfort be, ¡°As ye did it unto these, Ye have done it unto Me.¡±
In an attic cold and bare, ¡¯Mid the dropping of the rain, See, a woman, gaunt and wan, Stitch from morn till morn again, Fainting, famished, Christian man, Does not God appeal to thee, ¡°As ye did it unto these, Ye have done it unto Me¡±
When you pass the orphan by, With averted look of scorn; While the lone one toils and sighs, Faint and weak from morn to morn: Think, there soon shall come a day, When thy God shall say to thee, ¡°As ye did it unto these, Ye have done it unto Me.¡±

MY TIMES ARE IN THY HAND
My times are in thy hand; My God, I wish them there; My life, my friends, my soul, I leave Entirely to thy care.
My times are in thy hand; Whatever they may be; Pleasing or painful, dark or bright, As best may seem to thee.
My times are in thy hand; Why should I doubt or fear? My Father's hand will never cause His child a needless tear.
My times are in thy hand; Jesus the Crucified; Those hands my cruel sins had pierced Are now my guard and guide.
