Bagwell gave the Hounds an insurance tally with a homer off Jim Corsi to make the lead 8-6. McGwire hit a solo homer off Andersen in the bottom of the 7th to cut it to a one-run game. Belle bounced a ball up the middle for a hit and Tartabull singled with two-outs to put runners at the corners. Jerry Browne singled home the tying run and was aboard as Bordick greeted reliever Duane Ward with a double into the gap to give the home team a 10-8 lead.
