Thanks much and I do have those documents. ?Yesterday no matter what I did the ?ID880H ? would key , today, no matter what sequence I start the program, insert USB cable , connect radio , it won't key the tx. Kind of an interesting, frustrating problem.
It worked all the time with my now defunct ?Dell B-130 . If I find the answer I'll post here. Thanks,? 73 de rolan w3fdk |
Thanks much and I do that with each up grade. The suggestion Pat had seemed work ?but now back at the computer and nothing keys it now as before,
I think the last uninstall/reinstall was a couple of days ago. I always do an uninstall before I install upgrades. More fun with radios ?HI. Thanks much, 73 de rolan w3fdk |
开云体育Does it send data OK if you manually actuate the PTT? If so, check the rig settings. There is a DV menu setting in the radio that needs to be set for "auto transmit" with digital data. GPS position reporting by the rig also needs to be turned off because the GPS data uses the low speed data channel. Mike, N0SO On Jan 24, 2015, at 12:20 PM, rolan.clark@... Mike,
Thanks for the suggestions and yes the settings you mentioned are set right and sometimes it does tx when I click on ping or send text, that is it used to, in the last few hours I can't get it to do anything.? The last thing that worked, this morningb, ?was when I set com port to com1 using device manager. I used chirp and it works fine downloading the programming data but that is using the 3 mm ?phone jack but it is using the same USB to DB9 ?serial adapter cable going to the computer and using com1. Thanks much to all for the suggestions and interest. 73 de rolan w3fdk? |
Mike and all,
WOW, I fixed it !! ?It couldn't have been a loose solder connection in the DB9 plug could it HI HI ?yep it sure was, the shield to pin 5 was intermittenly touching, it was loose. I think who ever made that cable years ago is the culprit ( yep, its me). Continuity is your best friend. ?It is really interesting how it would work a few times after I made software changes. ?I did make sure the 2.5mm plug was in the radio solid but of course handled the db9 end all the time connecting to the DB9 to USB cable. I was just about to change to another ?2.5mm to DB9 cable that I had used when I had my IC2200H at our repeater site but then decided to check the DB9 connector.? Thanks much to all for your help. 73 de rolan w3fdk? |
