Ed, with every enhancement, you make the page better.? Thanks. ? BTW, on the present page you have provided info on how to enter a reflector but there is no button to get into the enter mode. ? Also, many of us distinguish between a reflector on D-Star and a RATflector on D-RATS. returns to Dayton Hamvention for the fourth year to provide an introduction to
D-STAR for the many new users getting on the air and more advanced topics for

开云体育Don, ? Actually W5SF.ratflector.com is already live;-) That just so happened to be how I already entered it. It is currently an alias (CNAME) that points to W5SF.dstagateway.org. If there is something more reliable that I should point to, just let me know. ? I don’t have the RATFlector listing up yet, I was wanting to make sure that anyone didn’t object to theirs being posted before I published it. It will be similar to the standard Reflector listing. ? There are a LOT of GMSK boards out there though a lot of them are moving away from plain RS232 serial ports just because no one has them anymore. Anyway, maybe the Moencomm boards will work:

I can find other versions of that mini-hotspot for sale in the same price range. It seems that if I go the hardware route, a Raspberry Pi based solution is currently looking the most attractive. 开云体育Hello John, Yes, this looks like a great place to start and considering there are Rpi & BeagleBone images available, that might be a super easy way to try.? The thing you'll need to figure out is how get D-Rats to use the available Dstar stack.? I suppose two serial ports could be used but there must be a way to interconnect them virtually. --David |

It was impressive for it's day and it's diagnostic views are still unsurpassed in some respects but it hasn't been supported for years and there are several alternatives out there now that are VASTLY superior for actual decoding. USB drivers?? I don't think you've stated your question properly.? You're looking for a full Dstar protocol stack to run over this GMSK modem and that looks to be here: ??

Re: MAPPING SOFTWARE/STATIC MAPS
Interesting you should bring this up this morning. I started the Map Download Utility about an hour ago, entered the lat long info, set it to a 10.6 mile diameter, hit start and it's sat at "Downloading (0%)" ever since. So...questions:
1. I assume this is downloading over the internet connection - and not waiting for me to start D-Rats and connect to something else. 2. I note that for lat/long you must enter the degrees followed by a space (it inserts the degree symbol), then enter minutes followed by a space (it inserts the ' symbol), and finally seconds followed by a space and enter the " symbol. Could this NOT be downloading because of an unreported error in the way I've entered the lat/long information? 3. Should I have expectations for download times longer than the last hour or so sitting at 0%? Thanks! Bob KK4LAC |
