Re: CPU Usage
Thanks Patrick. You have that set up in the QST?
It looks like the email check isn't doing any good.

Re: CPU Usage
I send a GPS report every 10 minutes to keep my connection alive. It keeps the loop from starting and doesn't print any text on the chat screen.

Re: CPU Usage
Thanks, John. I am constantly connected via ID-1 to the local DD
repeater, but apparently there's not enough traffic to keep it
alive. I will try setting up a do nothing ping every few

Re: CPU Usage
It is a known bug. If the connection to a ratflector is lost for any reason, d-rats goes into this CPU loop condition.
Sometimes this is caused by a network provider killing idle sessions, in which

Has anyone any input on the CPU usage of the D-RATS application, mine starts out all happy but after some time (appears to be a few hours, I haven't actually clocked it yet) it gets up to just over

Anyone using D-RATS for the ILLW this weekend?
I am hoping to set up a laptop, as well as run D-STAR from the
1860 Light Station & Museum in Port Washington, WI. The club call

Re: D-rats
Jay,
I am NOT a D-RATS expert but I do live in Arizona. ?I would love to have the opportunity to play on the radio with D-RATS with you. I can be found on either reflector 1C or on the reflector 9C

Look in the files section for D-RATS Operating Guide 0.3.3.pdf?to get the detailed instructions, but also get Quick Set Up.pdf?for the basic settings you need to get started using D-RATS. Give me a

Re: D-RATS & AX25 (9600 baud question)
Understand. D-RATS communicates with the TNC at 9600 baud (tbaud) and I set the HBAUD to 9600 prior to putting the TNC into KISS. As D-RATS transmits, I hear the whisper of 9600 baud packet.
