I've been trying to get my shiny new TH-D74 to work with D-RATS. I can get it to receive D-RATS data from another station, but the TH-D74 never goes into transmit if I try to send D-RATS data.
If I put the TH-D74 in Fast Data mode by selecting Data Mode from the digital function menu, the rig transmits when it gets Data from the USB port, but NOTHING is sen on the receiving D-RATS station.
I can't confirm, because the newest ICOM rig I own is an original ID-51, but 'data mode' on the TH-D74 appears to be the "fast data" mode introduced with the newer ID-51 plus and ID-5100.... and my older ID-51 ignores it.
Have I overlooked a setting somewhere in the TH-D74 that has slow speed Data inhibited? I really like the rig, but if it's not slow Data capable, I for one will miss that functionality!
For what it's worth, if "GPS Info. In Frame" (menu 630) is enabled, and I transmit voice, the D-RATS receiving station does receive and display the position data from the TH-D74.
Anyone else playing with this?
