We just had a comport issue with a drats install on a win 7 service pack 1.The comport appeared to be installed correctly in both drats and the device manager, every time we opened drats the comport opened and closed and was audible from the computer. We tried every trick we could think of, updating and re installing drivers, changing USB ports, all of the normal com port driver tricks. All to no avail, drats would on occasion transmit the log on call but not every time drats was started. The final fix was a clean uninstall of drats and a new install of the daily build 02232012. Since then the machine runs just fine, again the comport opening and dropping back out was audible like plugging in a USB cable to a port. I hope this helps someone else as it is a annoying problem to encounter.
