Re: Configuring d-Rats for a Reflector?

Thanks John. I think it's as I suspected. I need to get there through RF. d-Rats on a PC through the ratflector by itself won't get to the reflectors. No problem (assuming I can get to DOC, BTI, or SBA from Waleska). 880H will be here tomorrow or Thursday. Tom KG4VUB sent me a sample icf file and I'll also download one of the "Localized Memory downloads" from dstarinfo.com to get set up.

Thanks for the help!

If you are using a radio or Dongle, you need to configure a radio in the Preferences. You can connect a Dongle directly to a Reflector. Using a radio, you will need to link the repeater to that reflector module.

Subject: [d-rats_group] Configuring d-Rats for a Reflector?

Occasionally I see someone in the Chat tab say "XYZ Net on REF30C" or "AB1ABC is explaining the meaning of life on REF004C". So how to I get to REF30C or REF004C (which I assume are "reflectors") in D-Rats? Or can I? I've checked the on-line documentation but don't see it. I've looked on the DSTAR pages and don't see anything jump out about how to navigate to a specific reflector within d-Rats (which suggests to it's not possible - but I don't want to miss something). Any suggestions or a URL to the documentation?

Thanks!
